The Government Relations Institute of Canada (GRIC) was founded in 1994 by government relations professionals in response to the growth and maturing of their industry over the past 30 years.

The Institute fosters high standards of practice through professional development and adherence to a code of business conduct. The Institute also represents its membership on matters pertaining to the relationship between the lobbying industry and government.
